The floc continuously settles down, accumulates more and more at the bottom of the pond, forms sludge, and is periodically discharged after being concentrated; at this time, the water body passes through some filter material layers mainly composed of particulate matter such as quartz sand and can be retained. Fine suspended matter impurities, organic matter, bacteria, etc. in the water body; after all the above treatments, the water quality is basically clear, but the next disinfection treatment should be continued. It should be pointed out that the disinfection process in water purification is not to kill all microorganisms, it is only necessary to remove most viruses and bacteria. At this point, the water treatment phase is basically completed. Next, the inspectors of the water plant will test the water quality. After meeting the various indicators, they can be supplied to millions of households for people to use.
The current status of water treatment in China is not optimistic. There are many problems. For example, the funds for developing and renewing water treatment technology are very limited, and there is a lack of support from many scientific theories and advanced technologies.
